The time has come to share some difficult news. After an incredible journey, SKOCHYPSTIKS will be closing its doors at the end of 2025.
OUR STORY
What started as SKOCHYPSTIKS parkour team in Serbia in 2008 transformed into a clothing brand in 2011. From that first day, everything was made locally – from sketching designs and sewing prototypes to photoshoots, packing, and shipping. The entire process happened here in Serbia, created by practitioners for practitioners.
We never had an easy road. In a country where only a handful of people practiced parkour, we had no famous team backing us, no marketing budget, no professional video production. Just a few passionate athletes making what they loved – unique, quality clothing for people in motion.
The early years (2011-2012) were humble and slow, with SKOCHYPSTIKS worn mostly by traceurs in the Balkans. But something special happened in 2014-2015 when our products reached international athletes, including the Yamakasi founders. Word spread the way parkour (Art Du Déplacement) itself spreads – organically, from friend to friend, spot to spot.
Before we knew it, SKOCHYPSTIKS had traveled from Serbia to 54 countries around the world.
Back in 2012, we couldn’t have imagined this. We’re incredibly proud of the longevity we achieved and the community we built together.
WHY NOW?
The economy in 2025 has not been on our side. New tariffs to the USA (where most of our customers are based) hit us particularly hard. But to be honest, the challenges started years ago – Covid, global economic shifts, rising costs, EU import duties – and it’s been increasingly difficult to stay in motion.
We’ve fought to keep going, but the time has come to make this decision before we reach a critical point.

Thank you for choosing products made by practitioners. Thank you for supporting sustainable, local production. Thank you in the name of all our coworkers, sewers, models, and even our post office colleagues – because of you, they all shared this journey for all these years.

We’ll keep our social media accounts active, and if anything changes in the future, we’ll announce it here. Marta and I are exploring the possibility of continuing SKOCHYPSTIKS in some form from another country, but for now, this chapter is closing.

Fun fact: Skochy gear has been worn in every continent, we even know a guy who wore our gear in Antarctica. We’ve shipped baggies in well over 50 countries worldwide. However, when our countrymen recognize what we do – and this doesn’t happen often, it gives special warmth to our hearts. Thank you for being part of our journey.
